Martha Petersen, 73, of Vermillion, SD passed away Wednesday, September 27 at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD after a short illness with her family by her side.
Martha was born the fourth child on September 17, 1944 in Vermillion to Stanley and Viola (Olson) Peterson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church. Growing up on the farm she dearly loved, she attended school at the Westerville Country School and Wakonda High School.
