Obituary for Martin "Marty" Madsen

Martin "Marty" Madsen
Martin Millage Madsen, 65, of Wakonda, SD, passed away peacefully at McKennan Hospital on Thursday May 3, 2018.
He was born July 17, 1952 in Yankton, SD to Millage and Patricia (Brown) Madsen. He graduated from Wakonda High School in May 1970. He attended SDSU in Brookings and later attended USD in Vermillion. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. Wakonda.
He farmed around Wakonda all his life. He married Vickie 8/10/74- 7/2/82 they had 2 sons Bucky and Waylon. He married Renae 5/20/83- 6/28/89 had a daughter and son Crystal and Ian. He had a son Myles. He married Shana 3/4/06-10/4/06. Married Kristine 9/3/10 till death and step-sons Nick and Coddie.
He loved to hunt especially at the “Safari Club” and The Black Hills, fishing, gardening, canning, reading, and telling his True Stories especially about “Big Foot”. He loved to party and have good time with all his family and friends and the ones he would meet throughout his life. He loved to be the cook of all the get together with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Millage 7/25/08, Patricia 11/10/02, sister Carol 5/08, two sons Bucknar (Bucky) 2/7/92, Waylon 8/4/96 and a niece Jessica 10/95.
He is survived by two sons Ian of Sioux Falls and Myles of Crofton NE, a daughter Crystal Madsen of Aberdeen SD, two step sons Nick Wuebben of Gayville and Coddie Neerings of Wakonda SD, four grandchildren, wife Kristine of Wakonda and sister Holly of North Carolina, several nieces, nephews, and all of his dear friends.
Pallbearers are James Miller, Matt Kuchta, Gari Gratzfeld, Bob Voudry, Coddie Neerings, Nick Wuebben, Vince Purzol and John Landeen. Honorary Pallbearers are Greg Purzol, Jimmy Johnson and Dean Schulte.
