Richard Aune

Richard Dean Aune, 78, died Sunday, February 13, 2022 at the Avera Sister James Care Center in Yankton, SD, following a lengthy illness.
Richard was born January 28, 1944 in Seattle, WA to Howard and Mabel (Nelson) Aune. His formative years were spent for the most part in South Dakota. Richard’s life work included barbering and over the road trucking. He was an avid automobile enthusiast and spent many retirement weekends at vintage car shows.
He is survived by his mother Mabel, a daughter Lise and son Edward, a sister Gloria (Larry); Ahrendt, nephews and families, and many friends. Visitation will be Friday, February 18 at 6:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at the Hansen Funeral Home in Vermillion.
