Carl “Larry” Edwards, 74, of Vermillion, SD passed away Wednesday, April 8 at the Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD.
Larry was born October 5, 1945 in Anthon, IA to Elmer and Pauline (Livermore) Edwards. He lived in many places in Iowa before moving to Meckling, SD in 1959 and eventually to Vermillion. He attended Vermillion High School and began a lifelong career in the carpentry business and started his own business in 1979. He served his country during the Vietnam war.
Larry was an avid hunter, fisherman, bowler, pool player and an awesome dancer.
He is survived by the love of his life of 54 years, Lea, his two daughters: Tammy and Sherry and his beloved five grandchildren: Heather, Nicole, Joel, Tracy and Allison and ten great grandchildren: Kaylee, Jordan, Kyler, Devin, Logan, Brooklyn, Kegan, Jacob, Matt and Paisley.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
