Dennis Ivan Hunter, 73, passed away peacefully at Sister James Nursing Home in Yankton, SD on Friday December 6, 2019.
Denny was born on April 19, 1946 in Sioux City, IA to Ivan and Dorothy (Brown) Hunter. He was the oldest of seven children. Denny attended Vermillion schools and was a member of the National Guard. He spent most of his life self-employed pouring concrete in the Vermillion area. He loved hunting, fishing and riding (fixing) on his Harley.
Denny is survived by his daughters Monica (Mark) Hanson, Glasgow MT, Jodi Evans (Leigh), Merriman, NE. Grandchildren Samantha (Cole) Wyatt, Hay Springs, NE, Cody Hanson, Glasgow MT, and Wayne Evans III, Merriman, NE and 3 great granddaughters Sophia, Ria, and Chloe.
Sisters Cheryl Kurtz, Papillon, NE, Phyllis Hunter, Pierre, SD, Rhonda (Blake) Hart, Yankton, SD, and Kelleen (Curt) Gregg, Vermillion, SD and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ivan and Dorothy, sister Robyn, brother Perry and his trusted dog Chainsaw.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
