Jaime Lynn Hanson

Jaime Lynn Hanson, 46, of Vermillion, SD, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Saturday, September 16, 2023 after battling brain cancer. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Faith Fellowship Church in Vermillion beginning at 10:30AM.

Jaime was born in Vermillion, SD to Scott and Jane Hanson on June 21, 1977. She attended Vermillion High School, graduating in 1995. Following high school she attended USD and Western Iowa Tech. Jaime went on to work various jobs throughout her life while caring for and raising her two children Ellie and Ivan.

She had numerous hobbies and interests, spending her free time enjoying the outdoors while camping, thrifting at stores, yard sales and at times, finding value in what others didn’t while dumpster diving. Jaime also loved to read books, attended musicals and one of her truest passions, singing.   

Jaime is survived by her children Ellie Tichy & Ivan Hanson; their father Troy Tichy; parents: Scott and Jane Hanson; sister, Kristina (Jerry) King and their children, Maybel, Ruby, and Asher. As well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sydney Tichy and her grandparents.
