Marlene Tieszen

Marlene Claire Tieszen, 70, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 2, 2024. A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Hansen Funeral Home, Vermillion on Thursday, June 6, 2024,from 11:00AM-12:00PM. 
 
 Marlene was born on June 5, 1953, in Coleridge NE. Marlene led a fulfilling life and left an indel mark on all who knew her.
 
In her professional life, Marlene worked as a prep cook at the Silver Dollar Saloon for many years. She brought joy to those around her with a warm smile and friendly demeanor.
 
Marlene's love for her family was evident in everything she did. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren, Hailee & Matthew Tieszen and Calli & Carson Hegge. Family was at the center of her world, and she found the greatest joy in their company.
 
Outside of work and family, Marlene had a few passions that brought her happiness. She loved her Bingo and was always ready for a game with friends. Additionally, Marlene adored her furry companion and enjoyed bringing her dog with her wherever she went.
 
She is survived by her sons: Chris (Jessica) Tieszen and Jason (Shelly) Hegge. Her grandchildren Hailee, Matthew, Calli and Carson; Brothers and Sisters; Patricia Jansen, Omaha, Norma Nedved Yankton Leroy Hegge cottage Grove, Minnesota Rod Sigel, Omaha Connie Bromley Yankton donna Gabel deceased Yankton among other relatives and friends.
 
 Preceding her is death were her parents, Clarence and Olivia Hegge and her sister.
