Mary M Valentine

Mary Valentine was born to Clare and Mae Harmon Keeley on July 27, 1940, in Yankton, South Dakota. She passed away on July 8, 2024, in Yankton, South Dakota.

 Mary graduated from Wakonda High School in 1958, attended Mount Marty College and then went onto California State University, Fullerton, and completed her teaching certificate in 1969. She married Kenneth Valentine in 1964 and lived in Garden Grove, California for many years. Her teaching career took her to Omaha, Nebraska, La Habra, California, and Huntington Beach, California where she taught at Saint Bonaventure Catholic School. She relocated to Yankton South Dakota in 2004. She was employed by Payne Auctioneers, was treasurer for Willow Ridge Homeowners Association, and was a member of the Elks Lodge. 

 Survivors include her brother, Michael Keeley of Wakonda, SD, sisters Pat Knutson, Tustin, CA, Bonnie (Bruce) Bentaas, Centerville, SD, Maureen Keeley, Sioux Falls, SD. Nephews Zak (Molly) Knutson, Burbank, CA, Mike (Casey) Pollman, Miles, Max and Macy, Wakonda, SD. Nieces Keeley Pollman, Sioux Falls, SD, Rachel (Nick) Martz, Sage and Oakley, Centerville, SD. Along with many other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters Carol Pollman and Madonna Keeley and brother-in-law, John Pollman.
