Patricia Ann Coffee

Patricia A. (Randolph) Coffee, 81, of Elk Point SD passed away Saturday, August 24,2024 at St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City following a brief illness. A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday September 14, 2024 at Hansen Funeral Home - Vermillion, beginning at 11:00AM. Visitation will be held 1-hour prior. 

 Patricia was born June 11, 1943, in Vermillion, SD to Harold and Alma (Pond) Randolph. She grew up in Vermillion, SD and graduated from Vermillion High School. Patricia went on to further her education at Nettleton commercial college in Sioux Falls for secretarial education. 

 She was united into marriage to Lowell Coffee in 1962 and they welcomed four children into the world. For several years Pat worked at Fullerton’s in Vermillion until she retired and took on the responsibility of waiting for Lowell to return from the fields and going to the grandkid’s events. Pat was always looking to spark that conversation just to have the opportunity to brag about her kids or grandkids.

 When not waiting for Lowell to return from the fields or story time with the guys, Patricia enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She attended many car races, go kart races, soap box derby races, and sporting events when her children and later on her grandchildren were participating. She loved attending her grandchildren's activities or just being around them as this was what brought that smile to her face. 

 Survivors include Wes Coffee (Dawne) of Elk Point, SD, Aaron Coffee of Elk Point, SD, Reese Coffee (Kari Traver) of Hinton, Iowa, Daughter, Melisa Coffee-Gengler (Greg) of LeMars, Iowa, Grandchildren, Aspen, Anna, Logan, Leighton Coffee of Hinton, Iowa, Blaise Coffee, of Elk Point, SD, Kenna Coffee of LeMars, Iowa, and a sister in law, Bonnie Cannon of Gastonia, NC.

 She was preceded in death by her loving husband of many years Lowell; Her sisters Bettie Ryan, Janice Dunham, and Marilyn Kragness; Her parents Harold and Alma Randolph and Aaron and Lois Coffee.
