Daryl James Peterson was born October 10th, 1931 in Wakonda, SD to Louie and Emma Peterson. Daryl graduated from Volin High School in 1950. After High School, he went into the United States Air Force Infantry in 1951 and became active May 6, 1952 to February 5, 1954. He was injured in Korea and received two honorary purple hearts.
Daryl married the love of his life, Dorothy (Vaughn) Peterson on August 25, 1962. Daryl loved the outdoors, especially fishing, trapping, hunting and spending time with his two dogs Lady and Puppy and his many friends.
Daryl is survived by his sister Donna of Portland, Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, parents, Louie and Emma and his children Lady and Puppy.
