Marjorie B. "Marge" Peterson (Danielsen)

Marjorie B. Peterson, 84, of Irene, SD, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at Pioneer
Memorial Nursing Home in Viborg, SD.
Marjorie was born to Jorgen and Mabel (Hansen) Danielsen on October 17, 1934 in rural Turner County.
She was baptized and confirmed at Spring Valley Lutheran Church. She completed her education at
Viborg High School.
She married Merlin Peterson on May 8, 1954 at Spring Valley Lutheran Church. Together they raised
three children, Lori, Lynn and Kristi. Merlin and Marjorie farmed and raised livestock in the Irene area.
In recent years Marjorie lived in Irene. Marge, as friends called her, enjoyed interaction with people
providing muscle polarity assistance for several years from her home in Irene.
Marjorie is survived by daughters, Lori Peterson of Sioux Falls; and Kristi Broderson of Irene; and son,
Lynn Peterson of Irene; and grandson Clay Broderson; and sister-in-law Beverly (Harold) Danielsen of
Yankton and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin Peterson; parents Jorgen and Mabel Danielsen;
brothers, Harland Danielsen, Arlo Danielsen and A. Harold Danielsen; sister Lenora Knutson: sisters-in-
laws, Geneva (Harland) Danielsen and Marjorie (Arlo) Danielsen; brother-in-law Sidney Knutson; father
and mother-in-law, Stanley and Violet Peterson.
