Connie Wulff, 67, of Vermillion, SD, passed away peacefully at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, IA, on February 11, 2019.
Connie was born in Chamberlain, SD, on February 7, 1952. She grew up in Pierre and graduated from Riggs High School in 1970. She went on to earn her degree in wildlife biology from South Dakota State University.
After graduation, Connie settled in Vermillion and worked at the South Dakota State chem lab. Her career flourished when she joined the Clay County Conservation District, where she worked for many decades. It was her dream opportunity to pursue her passion for wildlife habitat preservation and restoration.
Connie was an avid reader and enjoyed learning about the history of Vermillion and the surrounding area. She loved working with her two dogs, including showing her great dane, Killer, at local dog shows and leading obedience classes for the kennel club with her black labrador retriever, Jake.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents Barbara (Luckey) Wulff and Marcus Wulff. She is survived by her sister Peggy Nissen of Cupertino, CA, her sister Judy Devereux and brother-in-law William Devereux of Milpitas, CA, and her niece Tracey (Riley) Frizzell of San Jose, CA.
